The complimentary session is designed to ask questions and get to know your orofacial myologist. A comprehensive evaluation is needed to assess and decide how many sessions will be needed.
An in depth 60 minute evaluation of orofacial dysfunction, reviewed health history, compensations, functionality and creating a plan for customized therapy.
Designed for children 3-6 years old who would benefit from simple exercises but not ready to have a full foundational program. Starting young to help eliminate habits and guide growth is ideal.
A program designed to assist with thumb or finger sucking cessation. Sometimes taking the parent out of the equation and working with a professional does the trick.
- 12 Session Comprehensive Program
Designed as a foundational program to achieve the four goals of OMT: nasal breathing, proper tongue posture, lip seal and proper swallowing pattern. The foundational program is composed of three phases to complete therapy: intensive phase, habituation phase and retention phase.
- Pre and Post Frenectomy Exercises
Preparation is necessary for a frenectomy including exercises post frenectomy to prevent reattachment of the tissue. A complete foundational session is recommended to retrain the tongue. Although orofacial myofunctional therapy is not physical therapy, it is similar to having a surgery and needing physical therapy after.
